The family, minus Taylor, came to visit, and we explored some local attractions, a stars tour, and the Getty Villa.

If you go

The Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades is free, but you need a timed reservation and you pay to park. It’s the Roman-villa half of the Getty — the antiquities collection — separate from the Getty Center up on the hill. It sits right off PCH near Malibu, so it pairs well with a beach day. Give it a couple hours and don’t rush the gardens.
