Had casually attempted this a few times on my way to other things, but finally made dedicated time, with Sean in his Bronco, to support each other. Totally doable, but not fast. Had several spot sections — less so for the Bronco.

Coyote Canyon is the classic 4×4 route through Anza-Borrego, threading one of the few year-round water sources in the park up toward Borrego Springs. Because of that water and the bighorn sheep that depend on it, the middle section closes seasonally — usually through the summer.
