Devil’s Bridge at sunset

A bigger hike than Cathedral, but not bad. Caught Devil’s Bridge around sunset and it didn’t disappoint.

Background

Devil’s Bridge is the largest natural sandstone arch in the Sedona area, out in the Coconino National Forest off Dry Creek. The photo of someone standing on the span is the one everybody wants, which is why there’s usually a queue at the arch.

If you go

Devil’s Bridge is the largest natural sandstone arch in the Sedona area, and the photo of someone standing on it is the one everybody wants — which means a queue at the arch most of the day. From the Dry Creek trailhead it’s a few miles each way; a high-clearance 4WD road shortens it considerably. Go early or at sunset both for the light and to skip the line. Visit Sedona.
