Downtown Dallas is flatter and more bikeable than people expect once you’re off the main arterials. The pedestrian crossing is the Ronald Kirk Bridge over the Trinity, and the Katy Trail is the spine most people ride — a rail-trail running from near downtown up through Uptown. Early morning is your friend here; by midday in an August in Texas it’s a sweat test.
