The eclipse the 9-to-5 wouldn’t allow
Intended to capture some eclipse photos but the 9-to-5 said no. Snuck a photo as it was trailing away.
The event
April 8, 2024 was the great total solar eclipse that swept across North America — but Southern California was well outside the path of totality, seeing only a partial bite out of the sun. Even partial, you need a proper solar filter to look or shoot safely; this is not a ‘point and hope’ situation. The next total solar eclipse over the contiguous US isn’t until 2044, so the FOMO was earned.
