Hamilton Lake – First Backpack

First backpack with Lindsay toward Hamilton Lake.

Hamilton Lake – First Backpack

A first backpacking trip for me and Lindsay, following the well-known approach toward Hamilton Lake. We kept to the established trail and made steady progress with simple overnight setups.

Used the loop to get comfortable carrying full packs and managing camp without a larger group.

Quick Info

  • Type: Backpacking
  • Location: Sequoia National Park
  • Movement: Established trail toward Hamilton Lake

Notes

  • Classic Sierra approach with reliable footing
  • Good first backpack route for confidence building

Howdy, and thanks for making it here. I’ve been capturing content and exploring for years, and I’m finally getting the chance to share it.
To keep things moving, I’m rolling this out in phases—photos and quick notes first, then deeper write‑ups, maps/GPX, and print options as I catch up.
